Winter Weather Havoc on NFL Wildcard Playoffs

Updated: Jan 25

The Football show MUST go on! As proved by Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins Playoffs game in Arrowhead Stadium. The temperature at kickoff was -4 degrees Fahrenheit and a windchill of -20 degrees. History was made as the fourth coldest game in the National Football League. It was so cold that Mahomes' helmet shattered during a play and Chief's coach Andy Reid's mustache froze solid with snot icicles. Fans braved the cold and watched from snowy seats.

Snow Covered Conundrum

Highmark Stadium put out a call to hire fans to help shovel their snow-covered stadium in preparation for tonight's Buffalo Bills vs. Steelers Wildcard Playoff Game. They asked for 200 shovelers over age 18 to begin at midnight on Sunday night. Even though the crew worked through the night, snow continued to fall at 2 inches an hour. The already postponed Sunday game is still scheduled for Monday at 4:30 pm ET. Fans may be sitting in piles of snow... That's commitment!

What game matchup would you sit in the snow to watch?
